Interesting Sightings
I was happily having lunch all by myself at uni today. This guy came up to the table and placed his Targus laptop bag and Coles shopping bag on the next available seat diagonally opposite mine. "Nice Targus lappie bag", I thought. After being in my own world and observing people from my corner, I saw him carrying his lunch over from the microwave in two tupperware containers. One containing mash potatoes, the other....steak.
It gets better.
The next thing I knew, he whipped out his Ikea 365 fork and steak knife. Note, it was a steak knife and not any ordinary knife.
I was highly amused because it was my first time I saw someone bringing a steak lunch to uni. I've been observing these uni kids who bring lunch from home to save some moolah and most have rice with dishes, pasta, fried rice, fried noodles and whatever else is that travels well.
Hmmm now I wouldnt be surprised if Mr-I'm-having-a-steak-lunch brought along his own table cloth and napkin as well. Possibly inside his Coles shopping bag. (:
