My back has still been hurting on and off, but it's been much better. It's been exactly two whole weeks since my back started hurting. I took about one week off and rested and lived by the no strenuous activity mantra and then one week of nothing but relaxing swims at the heated lap pool. Two weeks later (ie today), I'm back at the gym.
During the two weeks of staying off the gym, I was a bit worried that my stamina would deteriorate and terrible running form with my arms flying around everywhere as though I'm in the process of cooking up char-kuay-teow. Surprisingly, I didnt really lose form, only that my legs got a wee bit tired earlier than usual. But my arms really felt like I was ready to conquer the world. Looks like swimming did my arms some good. Hence I'm a happy camper. (:
I've got a week and a half left to race day and that means that's all I have left to train! I reckon I'll be in pretty good form by then.
Look out for me, I'm on my way to be a lean mean endurance machine!
