It's Monday afternoon and I'm listening to Avril Lavignes new record. It's really catchy, and incredibly well written for insecure female teenagers. I love it really. I've been reading Henry Miller on the bus to work, and getting mixed reactions from different ages of people who notice the somewhat smutty cover (cancer of capricorn). I'm enjoying the book even more so because of it!

I was in the park on a Sunday afternoon two weeks ago and there was a shooting just beside me, and the kids involved all ran past me in a blur as the gunmen sped away on their motorbike.

A little excitment for the afternoon? I've never really experienced hand guns up close, is this something everyone learns about it in life?
My girlfriend earlier related a story about seeing an argument on a bus over a seat late at night spill out into the street and end with the troublemaker getting his face cut off.
