new house!
sooo... got posession of the apartment on saturday, and what followed can only be described as painting insanity...or (dare i say it?) a pankration!! I am aware that pankration is a martial arts dealie, but it just sounds too much like pandemonium to pass up a chance to use it.
when we bought the place the colours were half a shade past 'crazy cat lady' and turning the corner on to holy hell lane. now, though we did end up painting the place (ugh!) beige, it looks fucking incredible. don't worry, i did get a whole pile of before/after shots, and will post those as soon as i get some with furniture in the rooms.
the bathroom is now beautifully sans carpet, and will be tiled and shiny hopefully by next week... other beautiful updates include gorgeous linoleum in the kitchen to replace the utility rug that was present, and the cavern walls being replaced with 'toasted oat' and 'whisper of nature' or nature's whisper' (i continually get those mixed up)...
