Moncton is awesome--they fleece tourists out of tons of cash without spending a cent to do it. Just a hill and a promise of logic-defying activity (in the comfort of one's own car) and tourists are hooked (little do they know that if they go after closing, they get to do it for free!). Magnificent.
The explanation is simple-- the hill merely LOOKS as though you're going uphill, when really, if you get out and walk, you're going downhill. The little uphill section at the end that makes it realistic is a result of your forward momentum from having gone downhill through the entire run of the course. It's really quite realistic, if you're silly enough not to enquire as to how such a thing could be even remotely possible. In other words, great for the majority of tourists in Canada. Trust me...95% of them are really scary enough to believe such bs!
