Grab a book!

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

I could only reach one book, courtesy of the sleeping cat on my lap. It's title is, "Prayer, Stress and Our Inner Wounds" and it felt pretty thin when I picked it up. Really thin, a total of 95 pages.

p.95 = About the Author (4 sentences)
p.94 = the last page of text has only five sentences, leaving a nonexistent quote to post.
p.93 = I used this because it was a full page:

"Work is not the purpose of my life.
I am giving life that I may live.
My life is focused in this one moment.
My present task here and now is to be in fellowship with God."

This happens to be a quotation, complete as given, by Toyohiko Kagawa who was a Japanese Christian pastor and social reformer, according to the author Flora Slosson Wuellner.

Well, that worked out pretty well. Of course I just started reading the book, and now I know how it ends. Phooey!   ;-)

I'll have to try this like once a week or something.
