Wednesday is a Self Directed Study day.
I self directed myself into finishing my sketchbook last night (much to the horror of one of my flatmates who is doing the same degree as I).
Therefore today (Wednesday) has become a Self Improvement, Wearing Slippers day.
Self Improvement, in my books, is developing a way of drawing people that is fun and and makes sense and I'm kinda GETTING THERE.
It's very exciting, like it's at the tips of my fingers.
Also, I'm getting quite pally with watercolours which makes me very happy (it's about effing time after all).
So.
Today I have
Spock has let another cat out of another bag. I'm sure he must be puzzled by the number of trapped felines that are on the ship by now, but he'll just keep freeing them for now.
He'll put in an inquisition later, the Captain may have some understanding of this phenomenon.
Umm, so the bag is on the floor by his boots which may or may not have fallen off of the page...
And
A conversation like this must have happened at least twice during their years at the academy.
Oh Bones, "nothing in this Universe"? He's standing right beside you pal. Yeah, the one with the gooey legs and the dopey expression.
That's your future Captain.
IN SPACE.
I didn't mean for --((I KEEP SMELLING GODDAMN BURNING FROM A LOWER FLAT AND IT'S DRIVING ME EFFING MENTAL. WATCH. YOUR. FOOD. ASSHOLES))-- Jim's expression to come out quite so feminine and flat and crappy but it kind of went a little wrong. It was supposed to look something like this:
But it's all an education and stuff and I'll try not to do it again. Faces still lose me, I can't tell you how surprised I am by the fact that Bones actually looks like Bones. He never does.
I lose his eyebrows in his hair which is always a frightening multi-oval mess, and his mouth gets misshapen and his eyes look stupid.
So today is a good day.
I'm going to attempt more. And maybe even eat some Reese's Pieces.
Here is some actual work that I've been doing for my project. YAYAY PAPER CHAIN PEOPLE
