I have had a stressful weekend. Saturday I worked as usual. Sat. night we were having dinner at home and Clifford was resting under my chair. All of a sudden he darts forward like he was chasing a fly. I'm like wtf? I look, and then he does it again, but he's kind of sprawling at the same time. Darren and I both get on the floor and go to him, it turns out he was having a seizure. Darren held him between his knees, petted and talked to him while I freaked out. It didn't last very long, maybe 30 seconds, but felt like an eternity. After, Cliff crawled into my lap and shook for 5 mins. he was so scared. We all were.
Then he went to get his ball and started playing like nothing was wrong! We called the vet and he said that it was a minor one, called a "fly biting" seizure, since it looks like they are going after a fly.
He said to keep an eye on him and if it happens again, to bring him in. He said it is likely that it will never happen again, that many seizures happen for no known reason. I am just so glad that we were there when it happened. We were planning to go out that night and a few minutes later we would have been gone.
He has been fine since, but each time we leave the house I am so worried and scared that something is going to happen. I try to think positive, but I know that he is old, and his life cycle is coming to an end...I keep praying that when God does take him, he will pass away in his sleep. That is my only wish.

Sunday we went to Revelstoke to visit Darren's family. It is beautiful where they live, and it was nice to see everyone again. Monday was a beautiful day and we sat outside on the patio for most of it. We also had a guy from Accurate Fencing come by for an estimate. Going to be about $2000 to fence our yard.
Last night we went to see the new Amityville Horror. Ryan Reynolds plays a good psycho! It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, but it was pretty suspenseful.

Today we have a guy coming to look at our electric panel (it makes a weird buzzing sound when the dryer is on) and then I'm off to work.

Until next time...
