Anniversary

Today we are (finally) going to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary! Being in Iowa put a delay in  our tradition of dinner at Bob Chinn's Crab House :)

Back to reality today....the trip to Iowa was fantastic :) Now starts life in the "real world"....work, laundry, meal planning, etc.

Happy Anniversary!

Bob Chinn's Crab House, eh? I miss that restaurant. :) And Hackneys, and Bill's Pub, and that little roadhouse that had the most wonderful mussels, and... One of these years I'm going to have to come back to visit, and spend the entire trip revisiting old haunts.

I had the biggest mussels at dinner the other night :) Delish! I have a friend from grade school (church related) that comes to town to see her parents every couple of months. They usually have Bill's Pizza at least once :) Speaking of....it's been a while since I had Bill's Pizza too! I'll have to put that in the budget sometime soon :)

Where's the "little roadhouse" that had the most "wonderful" mussels?

I'll have to ask Mom & Dad what the name of the place was. It was halfway between Libertyville and Mundelein, a house looking place at an intersection. Not much to look at, but they served a mean plate of mussels with crusty bread. Beat Olive Garden's version.

Italian Chicken a la Diana: Place skinless chicken pieces in a crock pot(still on the bone). Top with Fat Free Italian dressing (I like Kraft Free Italian). Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Serve with tator tots and a veggie or rice and a veggie. YUMM. This was first served to me at Worlds....My sister-in-law "made" this. The beauty of it is, the crock pot! She made the leftovers into casserole with egg noodles and cream of chicken soup. We didn't have the leftover casserole, but it sounded good. I'm making the Italian chicken tomorrow and may make tettrazini with my leftovers (It's the only "casserole" Catt will eat.
