why happening

people who like georgette heyer, tell me something that is better than 'regency buck' which i picked up at the library because it was sticking out oddly from the rack and i thought, oh people i know like her stuff; i should investigate. right now i am on page 134 and thinking there is something very wrong with you all because i want to set everyone in this novel on fire. it is particularly unfair because i started reading this to escape the other book i was reading that was both boring me and making me angry and i thought fluffy romance would be a good antidote. well, fluffy romance probably would be a good antidote, except this isn't it. this is just spoiled, whiny rich people being spoiled and whiny and a complete douchebag who i presume is going to end up being the love interest and we've just had six pages of cock fighting not to mention the eight pages of a boxing match we had earlier and i can't help feeling that i've been lured here under false pretenses.

maybe i'll just go read pride and prejudice again.
