maude and i are becoming accustomed to one another. this retina display is taking some getting used to. it's very pretty to look at but the way it deals with images hurts my head. any time i take a screenshot, i have to remember to resize it down, and any time i want to look at an image in photoshop, i have to view it at 200% to see the 'real' size. surely this cannot be efficient for people who work with graphics on a daily basis?
i still haven't managed to overcome my occasional bursts of anxiety about when she will shut herself off. not ada, i repeat to myself. poor ada. she was a faithful companion to the end. even with the constant shutting off, she never lost anything and nothing was corrupted. maybe she was just tired. i can understand that.
goodbye ada-pants. i'll miss you.
