FKMTverse in book form, finally! I'm so excited to finally get these to the contributors once I make sure it's ok. Since last night, I'm still making sure pages are in the right order. (Comparing them to their PSD files, so slow on PS Elements 4. orz) I'm so paranoid I'm going to miss something, the way I've been lately.
As you can see, the cover is super glossy, and unfortunately that means your fingerprints/smudges are all over it. The colors (especially pure black) on the cover bleeds a little, but it isn't so bad until looking at the small characters in the back.
The printing looks so much better than my previous Lulu book a couple of years ago. There used to be streaks in the full black, spots, etc. Not that every page would be plagued with that, but it was still glaringly noticeable. I haven't noticed this once in this book--all the blacks are black and the linework is crisp.
It took 3 days from sending in the order to getting an email that it has been shipped, and took another 3 days to arrived. I am very impressed!
But I still don't plan to use them for comics next time around. I'm looking forward to sending off the GC book to Ka-blam and see how their book looks.
