1.Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
When I found out they were selling Egg Nog at the grocery store again, I ran to the dairy aisle. However, if it's cold, I'm not going to want to drink Egg Nog. That would just be stupid.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
He's wrapped them for as long as I can remember.
3. Coloured lights on tree/house or white?
White. Much more tasteful.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Nothing quite like a poisonous parasitic plant to get the romance going. If I had some, I'd hang it.
5. When do you put your decorations up?
When I was living with my parents, it was an ongoing process from the days after Thanksgiving when those decorations came down.
6. What is your favourite festive season dish (excluding dessert)?
Cheese log all the way. Oh man, so good.
7. Favourite Christmas memory as a child?
... it's kind of sad, but nothing really sticks out.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
A lot later than you'd expect, because my parents had to keep the truth hidden from my sisters still, and I'm gullible. It was easier to fool three children rather than just two.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
When I was a kid, I was so antsy about the presents that my parents would let us open one gift on Christmas Eve right before we went to bed, so basically it was just to say, "Look, they're real, okay? Go to bed."
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
White lights and as many ornaments as possible.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
I love snow so long as I have a house into which I can retreat. Snow camping is of the devil.

Heh... sort of.
13. Do you remember your favourite gift?
Not sure I have one.
14. What's the most important thing about Christmas for you?
The people I spend it with.
15. What's your favourite Christmas Dessert?
All the Christmas cookies that my mom makes!

My sisters and I wake up as early as possible, gather in one of our bedrooms, and show each other what we got in our stockings.

The tree at my parents' house has an angel made of reeds, I think.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
Both, really. I love knowing I've given someone something they love, but who doesn't like receiving something too?
19. What is your favourite Christmas Song?
Oh man, so many... um...
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum?
Depends. I can't eat them one after the other, but one at a time I can deal with.
21. Do you like fruitcake? Would you give it to someone as a gift?
Never actually tried it - didn't really appeal to me. And what else are you supposed to do with it?
22. How long will you keep up your Christmas decorations?
Always been until Epiphany in our house.
23. If you could have a reindeer as a pet, which one would you have?
I've always been a fan of Chuckles McGee, the forgotten reindeer.
24. Do you stay up to see if maybe you'd hear sleigh bells?
Knowing my sisters, they'd just climb up on the roof and ring bells to screw with my head. So no.

I haven't worn a Santa hat since I worked at Toys 'R' Us. They make my head itch.
