Tweed

Last night I caught Kings of Convenience at the Bowery. It was no doubt the quietest show I'd ever seen there. So quiet, in fact, that when my friend went to settle his tab at the balcony bar, the bartender asked if he could wait until there was some applause. The credit card machine would have been too loud. Afterwards, we walked over to the Lower East Side (is the Bowery Ballroom located in the Lower East Side or Chinatown?) and grabbed some pizza at Rosarios. While we were eating our hot slices this lone twee looking guy sat down with us and asked if we had seen the show.

Turns out, he went backstage afterwards and apparently thought the band was stand-offish and now wasn't sure if he could listen to them the same way. We both nodded our heads and listened, even stuck up for KOC a little, you know the whole, "Hey, they were probably just worn out from playing... blah, blah, blah." And then the only in New York moment happened. At the very second we got up to leave the Kings of Convenience walk in and order some pizza. Erelend sits down right next to the guy, right where I was sitting 15 seconds before, and starts making conversation with him. Needless to say, the guy looked excited and I'm sure they're his favorite band again.

This evening, savelyevich  came by and gave me a great haircut. Definitely shorter than how I've been wearing it, kind of looks like my anime icon. Anyway, afterwards, this clicking noise by the radiator kept me waking me from my nap. Turns out I'd caught a baby mouse in a humane trap.

Jeesuz, between talking about the Kings of Convenience and catching cute baby mice in humane traps, I'm starting to sound "twee."  I think I'm going to listen to some Sabbath.
