Alas, tomorrow's my last regular day of high school, and thus grade school. For no particular reason, I wrote a short letter directed to whoever was assigned my locker for next year to leave at the bottom of my locker (hopefully so the custodians don't see it and take it).

sorry to break it to you but either one of these 2 scenarios is going to happen:

1. the janitor will make sure the lockers are clean and throw your note out
2. the new kid will say 'what the hell, some punk left their garbage in my locker' and toss it without reading it

Unless you tape it discreetly under a shelf and draw little hearts on it. Then nobody in the right mind would throw it out without reading it.

Maybe instead of leaving it in the locker all summer you should wait until the fall--put it in an envelope then sneak into the school after-hours and shove it through the cracks of the locker. Or, if you go a day or two before school starts, the locker won't be locked yet.
