symbolism.

Human Origins:

yesterday we spent the day discussing modern homo sapien and the discovery of cave art. the class discussed different reasons these art works are depicted where they are / how & why. finally coming to the conclusion that it was symbolic regardless of what they meant.

for example the teacher said "what is today?"

ultimately, i was not going to be the stoner in the class and shout out "4-20." so a student shouts out "it's hitler's birthday.."

ok the teacher said - another shouted out "anniversary of columbine."

"yes, but there is ONE more..." teach said.. (by this time; i'm clueless myself as to what he's getting to.. because obviously he is NOT referring to the day..)

he closes with: "well isn't today 4/20.. universal day to smoke dope.. symbolism"

music albums:
sole: bottle of humans / live from rome
atmosphere: seven's travel
charlie hunter: songs from the analog playground
decemberist: picaresque

ps: i did not make the documentary last night.. apparently my two back lights/break lights are out - i felt driving at night was not the smartest idea.
