I hadn't realized (or remembered) that the Allan/Much bickering was there from the get-go. It was such a small interaction, yet it sets up their relationship so beautifully. Allan just slides into the group so effortlessly, breaking up a perfect twosome in Much's mind (I think). Those two are perfect together - the angel and the devil on Robin's shoulders.

BTW: Happy Belated Birthday!

Thank you!

And yes, you're right, they're a fantastic pair, aren't they? I remember that one of my first RH fics involved Much being very unhappy about Robin getting on so well with nasty harsh men like Allan :) Of course that was back in season 1 before I realised how much I'm in love with Allan!

He does grow on you. Much's "awe" factor is immediately apparent, but Allan has to sort of fester first, but then you realize that it's a good pain. I actually started watching the show thinking that Robin had a lot of potential for fangirling. SHHHH...Please don't tell anyone (especially Allan). It's embarrassing.

*lol* Robin always seemed a bit weedy to me, but I was just looking over icons I made in 2006 and he features quite a lot... I think I always just wanted to slash him with someone though :)

And yes, I think 'fester' is an oddly apt way to describe how Allan grows on you :) I'm pretty sure it was when he first started wearing black that I sat up and took notice.

I noticed him from the beginning, but only as an ensemble (part of what my husband refers to as my "Brit eye candy show"). He was the "funny one."

The first time I saw him leaning against the wall in black leather, though, it was as if someone had hit me in the head with a large frying pan. So, uh, yeah, that's when I took notice as well.

Yes, the bit where he's leaning against the wall and Guy comes along and eyes him up and down thinking how fantastic he looks in black? I think that was the moment I fell for him too! Mmm...

And *lol* Brit eye candy show. Entirely true of course :)
