Summary: Allan is discomfited by his new comfort.

Allan’s back was killing him.  Last night had been his first night in the castle as “Sir Guy’s Man”.  He had had an eventful day the day before, between having Robin find his money stash, convincing Guy to give him a chance, bathing for the first time in months, meeting up with the sheriff, being thrown once more into the dungeons, fighting Robin over a vat of boiling pitch, and going on a mission with the sheriff and Giz.  It had been with a sigh of relief and unadulterated pleasure that he had sunk into the soft mattress the night before.  All night he had tossed and turned, unable to get truly comfortable, and had woken up stiff and sore, particularly in his neck and lower back.  He glared back at the soft mattress that had seemed so welcoming the night before-if that was how the sheriff and Giz slept every night, it was no wonder they were always so cranky.  Allan made a mental note to himself to pull the blankets to the stone floor when he went to bed that night.
