Thinking about things...

This week has been a enriching experience so far. Classes started last week and I was kinda down about it. Some of my classes are kinda lame, but most of them are pretty interesting. I never would have thought that my Intro to Philosophy class would have given my such hope for everything that I believe in. He told us the first day of class that some people would have a closed mind and wouldn't let anyone change their ways, I was one of those people. I really didn't want anyone telling me that my way was wrong. After what I read yesterday for that class it has opened me to more ways of seeing myself and other people. I don't just see how people act around me. I see it as them being what they want to be. We were talking about practical and non-practical people; whether or not the practical person is the person that society is wanting us to be. Let me tell you how they are defining a practical person. Practical people are people who only need the necessities. They are people that see everything as is and doesn't try to think things through. Practical people can be helpful in some ways, but just wanting the necessities doesn't give you much to work with. The world is changing so much that if you just think about the necessities then you will end up not adapting to what the world will be. I find it hard to not think about how things work or what makes me think the way I do, and I know that everyone should feel that way. If you can't find something to question in this world then there might just be something wrong with you. On the other hand, my feelings toward how we were created and such have been strengthened and I feel that they will never change.

Looking at the rest of last week, I have made some new friends that I think will be a great addition to my friends list. Aaron (Wo), and Kyle moved on to our floor and I think that they fit in perfectly with our floor. There was a person there that was good, but he had to move because his roommate was kinda weird. The other person that was there, we didn't mind, but he got on some peoples nerves. I think that we are going to have some great times on Gardner 4th floor. I finally got me another phone. I have been using it left and right to call mostly everyone that I know to give them my number. There are a few people that I still haven't gotten in touch with, so I will find them some how. That is basically it for tonight and I hope that I will have more next week.
