Relax day
Ahh, a day to relax. Well, I've chores to accomplish, but I am definately going to do some things for myself. I need to color my hair, paint my toenails, and I've several recipes I'm going to cook. Too bad my camera isn't back from repair yet, or I'd post pictures.
Received an email last night about our foster dog, Sawyer. The organization may have found a home for him. After the last fiasco, I'm very protective of this boy. We adopted him out and the people expected a perfect dog from the get-go. They couldn't deal with his transition and returned him that same night. I refuse to let this boy go through such trauma again. Folks need to realize these dogs have been through enough and need extra love and attention to adjust.
Sawyer was actually taken to the vet by his family to be euthanized since they had lost everything (home, jobs, cars, etc.) in this financial debacle. So sad since he is perfectly healthy. Sawyer has been frightened and shows signs of abuse, but is coming along nicely. I really hope he finds a great home. Then we'll foster another and hope for the same thing.
