Total Exhaustion tonight

It's been a busy week.  Work is evolving and I'm loving my job again.  I've NEVER hated it.  I'm just enjoying it more now than in past years.  I'm learning alot in many ways and that keeps the "spark" alive.  I'm having my share of "collateral duties".  I don't mind at all.  It's a change of pace from my usual norm and I get to interact with children from many age groups.  And I must say, those puberty kids keep getting larger each year!!!!

It is a bit trying, though, to remember where to be when and on what days and who needs assistance at what time.  I'm a very organized person.  I wish the entities that needed me organized themselves as well.  I don't enjoy being yanked from a child to aide another child whose parent couldn't get them to school on time.  Alas, it's the "norm" of ex ed.  You generally are ecstatic the child made it to school at all.  The bonus is if the child is intact and possessing the school requirements (at the very least, to "fit in" with the other students).  At that point,  you "overlook" the tardiness, lack of responsibility, consistency, normalcy, and just pray you make "the" special difference in THIS child's life that will inspire.

I've stories to tell but no energy to tell them.  Perhaps  if I can get more than 4-5 hours of consectutive sleep perhaps I'll have the time and energy to relate.

My friend E emailed me tonight.  It was seriously BUMMER news!  I'm waiting to see how to deal with changes.  I'm hoping there's still a way to see her and her boyfriend.

Okay, can't keep the eyelids open any longer.
