some info about me for my "new friends!" (UPDATED 3/2006)
Stolen from rebeccasmommy!! I posted this a few months ago but am posting it again for all my new journal buddies!! Feel free to ignore if you have already read it!!
My name is Tracy and I am 25 (my husband made me wear the dumb bow for a "xmas" pic)
DH is named Mike and he is 28
We met in high school where I stood him up for at a dance. I was a freshman and he was a junior. We didnt talk again for awhile and then met again when I was a senior and he was out of school. We dated while I went through college and I finished the last class for my BA in English 2 days before our wedding. We were married June 22, 2002, after dating about 5 years. We had decided way back in high school we would have a daughter named Zoey one day!
The first year was rough. I was going to school and then student teaching... but we made it and I got my first, and only thus far, teaching job. I teach 7th and 8th grade English and love my job. We planned to try for a baby June 2004 but got pg on a wim in January. I had a rough pregnancy battling with PIH and was on bedrest at 30 weeks. I was induced at 39 weeks and Zoey was born at 6:22 (the numbers of our anniversary!!!) on October 6th after 31 hours.
On February 11, 2006 Jocelyn Anne was born at 1:15. I was induced at 37.5 weeks due to PIH again. It was a rough pregnancy but a very different labor than Zoeys. 14 hours but only 1 solid hour of intensity.
Mike and I have now been married for almost 4 years and life is interesting everyday but I wouldnt change a thing... except for the fact that we just cant find a house we can afford in a decent area :) We are working on that.
The third love of my life (child-wise) is my 7 year old godson and cousin Trent. I LOVE him. We are extremely close and I have helped care for him since the day he was born. Before my own kids we would hang out 3 times a week but now I am so busy, we make sure to hang out once a week. He just ADORES Zoey and Joce even though he literally bawled when he found out I wasnt having a boy ;)
Next, we have cat named Jaxx. He was spoiled rotten until Zoey but has adjusted well! We got him when he was 8 weeks old and he got so sick that the vet said to take him back and get a refund because he was less than a pound and wouldnt make it. Well, needless to say, we wouldnt give him back and he made it and is a big cat! He is fat but looks fatter because he is so darn hairy!
Lastly, I have:
a mom
a dad who I didnt have much of a relationship wih until I was a teengaer and have just recently been in contact with again
a step-dad who raised me since I was 2 but is now getting divorced from my mom
1 real brother who lives in Missouri with his wife and daughter
2 half brothers (moms and step-dads) who are 21 and 17 who I love dearly and was raised with
2 half-brothers(real dads) who I dont talk to much and werent too close with growing up
1 great BIL who gave me my niece, MIa
1 amazing SIL who somehow I just found an instant connection with (and also gave me Mia ;)
Wow... now you feel like you have known me for years right :) Sorry if that was way TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!
