I was criticized for not hot-linking the final chapter of Party Cat, which is weird since this comic isn't mine or anything to do with me, and the parallels between Ellipsis and I have run their course. Especially after she peed in my room two days ago. Today is her first day allowed back in here, and once again I'm super nervous my room's going to be her new toilet.
Anyway, so nobody can yell at me (except Nedroid, who I hope doesn't), here's how the story ends. (Here are parts
1 2 3 4 5.)

In other news, last night was the PDX Fest's Karaoke Throwdown, where a bunch of (usually local) filmmakers make their own videos for karaokeable songs and everybody gets really drunk and laughs, cheers, and sings along through the chaos of kooky video art or quick little cute shorts and karaokeing. Rob Tyler did the Ewok Freedom song, which was great except the people who signed up for it (ahem, some of whom I know quite well and may in fact be only twenty feet away from me right now) didn't really know the song or the "words," and Jeff couldn't get his hands on a mic. Andy did an alternate-words super-paranoiac version of "Do You Know The Way To San Jose." Karl Lind did a very cool cutesty arcade-romance video for "Only You" by Yaz(oo). Melissa did a pandarrific little video for "Cold As Ice," a true karaoke classic. But the icing on the cake was Jon and Pat's perfectly campy metal-meets-medieval-times video for the Jon/Pat Anthem Song, "Holy Diver." I drank heavily, knew a surprising number of people there and almost mingled (mostly talked with Brie, Kelly, Andy, and Andy's friend Eric), had a good old time like I was some sort of normal social person (ha! who knew?) -- oh, and I even got my junk squeezed by a very friendly girl at the bar. After, Brie and I sobered up with a walk down to the little late-night carny village at 12th and Hawthorne and a cart called the Potato Champion, which was awesome and how did I not know about this? (Oh, right, because I never ever go out anymore.) So last night was fun, and tonight will either be more of the same or too much of the same -- it's the Invitational.
In the meantime, I'm seriously thinking I might go blow some money at IKEA today. My room needs some fixing the fuck up.
