distractions abound

So I'm supposed to be working on a script, of course, and that's not to mention editing Open for fuck's sake, but I just got my hands on Venture Brothers Season 3, finally, and if that weren't enough, new books are out in both Powers and Criminal, which will likely reboot my comic geekery (I went in determined to get Powers book 5 and found out that 12 had finally come out, six months or so after everyone had stopped waiting for it). Not to mention the book I started, the pile of movies I want to watch, social engagements, Stumptown Comics Fest this weekend, my high school best friend's daughter's first birthday, and whatever other impulsive things are likely to sprout up and get in the way.

I will try to persevere in the name of all these foul temptations. I must not surrender... entirely. That is to say, I must pace myself and not lose sight of the goal while still finding the time for my cartoons and comics and movies and books and friends and family and -- holy shit it's almost May, dude. Holy shit!

But for tonight, it's off to RoboCop, the eminently quotable, part-kitsch part-commentary, all-cop work of early 90s genius.
