when plateauing looks like optimism

Today seemed better. It's not like all of the problems went away, but they all seemed more manageable. I went out to Beaverton and did a (good-ish) photo shoot of one of Brian's interviewees. I went to work and toyed (for all of fifteen minutes) with Avid, and got paid a big overtime-including paycheck, and got the power-supply to the digital/analog converter box I need to capture the pixelvision tapes. The paycheck and the power-supply both help me address the ERIE problem.

I'm still sick.

I drove out after work to my parents' and played Civ IV for six hours with Brendon. We started a new map and picked on the Vikings (they started it).

Now I'm home, 5am, with a suspiciously happy cat in my lap and no demand to wake up before noon tomorrow. I have some kind of meeting tomorrow night with Gil to discuss a project he wants to get going, but beyond that (I think!) it's a cavedwelling day of editing and toiling with the footage.

Reminder to self: you promised Melissa you'd watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog this weekend. So you'd better come up with a damn good reason why you forgot, again. Or, you know, just sit down and do it. That's always a possibility.

Time to break this kitty's heart and shift my lap from the chair to the bed.

every room is empty, joss whedon, ellipsis the cat, work, inane, filmnerd, family
