Spent all weekend gaffing and (true to my nature) unofficially ADing on a short film for Amy, being made for a dvxuser.com contest. It's called Picture and it was her first time on a production so large. It was fun, stressful and hard but no more than average. I'd actually say easier than average. I was a big hit with the cat, a sixteen year old turtleshell named Tabatha, and the actress, a four year old girl named Logan.
We shot most of the last two days in Amy's house, but for one key segment we got to shoot in an abandoned hospital in northeast. While we dug through all the rooms hoping to find a random pair of O.R. scrubs -- we never found any; if we had I would have ended up being an extra -- I found this:

I swear to god, it's the kind of thing used to torture spies.
Anyway I'm gross and hot and sweaty, tired and stiff and sore, groggy and fuzzy and exhausted. I'm going to get off the computer. I worked five days at Laika, then Amy's shoot, now five more days at Laika. Wasn't I supposed to have days off?
When am I going to write!?
