i am on the internet

Just in time, I got a maybe-okay 130-page revision of Ellipsis done, because today, about fifteen minutes ago -- maybe less -- the Comcast dude gave us the Internet.

Tonight's writing group. Tomorrow I'm mailing the script.

My tongue's still numb. But this morning I visited Dr. Clark. He did blind poking tests on it ("Shut your eyes. Sharp or dull? Which way am I scraping?" and declared it fine, give it time, it'll heal. I still have nagging fears, because that's who I am, but he did declare it with the kind of aggressive authority of someone who knows. So here's hoping.

Next Monday I work at Laika again, which is also good news. The bad news being, I'm doing some kind of driver-carpenter job to help build (I think) a kitchen set on stage for live action. Work is work, Laika is cool, and stage experience isn't bad. So I'm not complaining.

Spent all morning jumping through hoops to re-ink the damn printer. Swear to god, of all technological things I fight with, printers have to be in the Top Three Enemies of Travis. Ink cartridges, color vs. black, everything about printers is just fucking unsatisfactory technology. What the crap? I'm not the only one out there trying to print copious amounts of just text and fighting with printers over this. Fuck all these photo printers and their color ink bullshit. I have to refill yellow to print black? This reeks of scam.

I hate all printers and printer companies.

I'm going to go back to working on my script now. One more night of it. After that, I think it's going to feel weird, not having to get up and go straight to the laptop to revise dialogue written at six in the morning, desperate to finish a scene before I go to bed.

I really should just start another script and keep going.

We'll see.

ellipsis, fuck, technology, internet, printers, 1844, laika, sundance institute, tongue, inane
