any word ending "ggggghhh" would suffice

I put on a movie to distract from the brewing storm of drunken smashes downstairs. I picked Vanya on 42nd Street, a film I know I love but I forget easily. It needs more attention than it's getting right now, but I'll say this.

The way these characters interact--the way everybody's power comes and goes each time someone new comes into the room or leaves the room--and the way it builds up, jumps ahead months later, then builds up some more...

This is what the Ellipsis project needs. This is what Henry's world needs.

What my world needs is a little more calm. Less screening panics, less drunken chaos, less broken DVD players, less production nightmare, and less money concerns. Man, that would be nice.

At least I've got Vanya. Mamet + Chekhov + Malle.

I feel like a critical mass has been building up... I wish I didn't have to add "again." And, I don't know, but tonight's not helping.

anton chekhov, ellipsis, fuck, sigh, david mamet, louis malle, catharsis, filmnerd
