ought seven in review: part 2
Based on my friend Megan's annual "Holiday Letter" post, I thought I'd see if I could compile what movies and music I loved this year. I'll probably spend the next two weeks backtracking to this post to add to it, or else just leave it incomplete and always wish I could have remembered better. Anyway, here goes:
The Movies I Saw This Year (in Theatres*)
I used the Wikipedia pages and Ebert's lists and did quick scans for all the movies I could think of I saw in theatres this year. I'm sure it's incomplete (nobody cares but me anyway, I know). But it was fun to compile and think about some great and other not-bad films I saw this year... and the three just bad ones.

* Technically, I failed to see Black Snake Moan, Zodiac, and Helvetica in the theatres, but it wasn't for lack of trying, so I include them.
The (New) Music I Couldn't Get Enough Of This Year
Like Megan's list, this is based actually more on what I left in my car or iphone longest, what I obsessed over as the year went. I limited it to just the music that came out this year (otherwise, my list would be full of Dave Brubeck and, if I count the last two weeks, a bunch of 90s stuff like Bad Religion and Weezer). So, what did I spend the most time listening to this year...?
