it seems a shame you waste your time on me

Unposted comment from last night:I forgot how cold my studio gets in the winter. If you picture Travis wearing a sweatshirt over a long sleeve shirt over a t-shirt and his wool cap and hobo gloves while typing, you'd be picturing the accurate truth last night. Was my breath visible? I don't know, I didn't think to look.
And also, a list to remind myself what I have to do, starting tomorrow:
  1. design a flyer for the make-up class by friday;
  2. check out & format as needed the images and data on the disc wendy gave me for her website, update and upload accordingly;
  3. contact sam, ultimatum etc., get the #3 balls rolling again;
  4. contact pam and sign up for advanced screenwriting;
  5. return what i got my brother and get him the other thing john and i talked about instead (this can't be done before thursday night, once i've had reconnaissance time);
  6. go to Scrap for postcards, wrapping paper, and what have you; and of course
  7. TMCM, C/T, and AHOT, for the love of god.
No reason to read any of this if your name isn't Travis, but I guess if you've got this far, it's too late now.

Well, sorry. Here, I'll give you this thought: I watched Terrence Malick's The New World tonight. What struck me about it most was the pacing, the way so little is said verbally and so much is said, uh, nonverbally, and the way time passes with at most a handful of shots and two or three lines. I wonder if that pace/style would apply itself well to a less epic story. I want to try.

There, that was something.
