"This is going to be good," he said to himself inside his tiny workshop. He hadn't really built anything since that first time Natalie had come over. But then, like fireworks, an idea had hit him.
Travis had to do a lot of sneaking around. If Amanda even had the slightest idea about this, she'd be at the door right now breaking in. So the boy had to quiet and work only when his sister was off at play dates.
The alarm rang. She'd be home from the store with his mum in fifteen minutes. That was just enough time to clean everything up, lock up the shed, and get to his room.
Just before he headed out, Travis looked back.
"At this rate, this will take all summer," he sighed.
