Hirona's eyes teared up before he could say anything. The woman backed off and quickly headed for the door, bumping rudely into Hirona. Her knees gave in, her falling to the floor in a mess of hair and wet tears. He looked uncertain, but kneeled beside her.
"What's wrong?" He began.
She quickly got up and headed for the door. She had seen enough and she wasn't used to getting hurt. She wasn't really used to anything, really. She was used to little houses with rice paper windows and calm silent breezes making their way across blades of grass, mountains in the back keeping an eye over mother nature herself.
This is getting way off track, we all figure. She runs outside and is immediately hammered by the rain. It falls in large tears. Why was today so downcast? Mark's hands fell on her shoulders. She turned around with a red face.
"What do you want?"
"What are you so upset about?"
"Who was that woman?"
"My sister."
She looked at him for a couple seconds, clearing her throat and sniffling. She just started laughing. Mark was soaked by the time and looked at her, smiling. He knew what was happening. His eyes closed halfway.
"Hirona," He breathed.
Their lips touched. Tongues smoothing out against each other. She pulled him so close their hips grinded together. The rain fell down harder, smacking the sidewalks. Business men ran with suitcases and umbrellas back to their dull wives and cigar boxes. They just stood there and kissed. Their lips smacked and departed, waving goodbye to one another. Neither believed what was happening.
"Goodbye," Hirona said.
The rain had never felt better.
