To: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Dear Sir,
Surely a man so blessed in abundant appellations as yourself, possessing not one, or two, but three names to inscribe upon your fanciful tales, could exert himself in distinguishing his characters in similar fashion.
NOT EVERYBODY NEEDS TO BE NAMED JOHN, ARTIE.
I also draw your attention respectfully to the females who populate your stories, all of whom seem to be christened "Mary" or "Violet".
I shall take the liberty of dropping a baby name dictionary into the TARDIS forthwith. Please do avail yourself of its resources.
Sincerely,
Terry
