Just finished a re-read of Good Omens (finally bought my very own copy!) and an already wonderful book was much improved by picturing Crowley as John Simm and Aziraphale as David Tennant all the way through. Also I seem to have unintentionally cast Philip Glenister as Witchfinder Sergeant Shadwell. I'm sorry, Phil! I think you're much smarter and better-looking than Shadwell! It was just where you seemed to fit in this book! And Dawn French as Madame Tracy, and Dame Maggie Smith as Agnes, and Arthur Darvill as Newton.
Anyway.
Re John Simm, if the sunglasses and black clothes and snark aren't enough, I give you the mental image of him driving 200 miles an hour in a car made mostly out of flames and partly out of imagination, to the soundtrack of Queen. Aren't you dying to see that?
There's also these sentences, which really jumped out at me: "Crowley turned off the radio and bit his lower lip. Beneath the ash and soot that flaked his face, he looked very tired, and very pale, and very scared."
So, yeah. *sits back and waits for the universe to realize that this is a NECESSITY*
