I signed up for the "Fic Walks Into a Bar" with Cal McCaffrey, because I find him very interesting and the other characters I considered had already been picked several times. But then I got my assignment and realized that I've never actually written Cal (not officially, with any beta~ing or feedback to say whether he sounds authentic or not), so that may be a problem.
Anybody got any opinions, insights, thoughts on Cal that might help me find a voice for him? I have a plot, that's no problem, but I could use some discussion to help get in the right mindset.

ETA: Just looked up the non-official Cal I have written, and was surprised to see extra parts to it that I'd forgotten writing. Unexpected fic!
