Had to quit on Sense & Sensibility when the DVD player stopped working. I tried hooking up my computer to the TV and playing it that way, but the cables that I needed were packed up. Actually it needed two cables. The ridiculously specialized cable that only does one thing, I found immediately; the bland every-electronic-device-ever-uses-this-cable cables had all been put in storage. I could continue watching on my computer itself, but Timelet and, against all odds, Mr. Time, had gotten interested as well.

Last night I had to quit on State of Play when Mr. Time's laptop died and he needed full-time minding and appropriate grief counseling.

I am sensing a trend here. More than one, actually.
