Happy Zero Anniversary, M-kun

Oct 03, 2009 21:16

A childhood friend got married today. It was a lovely (very Episcopalian) ceremony, beautifully decorated, in a nice location (Salish Lodge over Snoqualmie Falls) with excellent company. I made the reacquaintance of people I haven't seen in over a decade. I met someone who went to culinary school in Ireland (Ireland has famous food?).

Her husband is a wonderful man. Quiet, reserved, picky (graphic designer), sweet: who said "I knew I was one of the family when the merciless teasing started." ^____^ They'll be fine.

Two falcons were playing in the falls' updraft; one of them buzzed the banquet room windows close enough for me to see his eyes. They're quite charming birds.

About eighteen people have photographs of me holding a plate. XD This is because M-kun asked me to hold the plate when they cut cake for each other, and hold the frosting-coated knife when they fed each other.

Worth getting up at six in the morning (three and a half hour drive to the wedding) for. ♥
