St. James's Park

I can see why an angel and a demon and countless clandestine meetings between spies would like the place. It's centrally located, peaceful, and noisy enough to not be easily overheard. And never mind the ducks (sorry, Angel), the SQUIRRELS. The morning I ate breakfast in St. James's Park I shared my nut/fruit mix with the squirrels.

By handfeeding them.

About five different ones, since they're so used to easy food they're not greedy at all, and each would take a treat or two and then go roll in the grass. XD One set its paw on my hand when it took the raisin, and another one climbed onto my knee to sit to grab a pecan from my fingers. It quickly got off, though. The slip meant my skirt had a very slickery balance to it and it was much more stable to sit next to my calf to eat. I mean, good grief. They ALL, skittish or tamest, take treats POLITELY. Not even all my pet rats did that. Not even people's dogs do that! Several of them sit on the garden railings to look cute and bum crisps from children. XD I'm afraid that roasted nuts and dried cherries and raisins wasn't the prime food, though almonds, pecans, and brazil nuts got more mileage than raisins.

Anyway, it's 10pm, I'm sticky and need a shower, and it's getting cold near the window. Later!
