One, go and read this. It's sucking away my brain and my eyeballs have handed in their resignations. Even if you are not an Inuyasha fan, even if you are a rabid shipper of one pairing or another, it's still gorgeous and beautiful and fantastic and funny and tragic. YAY.

Wednsday I was delighted to come back and see the new (or at least, not-broken) blinds maintenance had put in the apartment. My delight was very shortly spoiled by tired annoyance when I found out that I had left MY bedroom blinds up, and as they were up, maintenance didn't see the holes and missing slats in them, and so did not replace them. And I sighed and went "but that's the window I had to move furniture to grant access to!"
It's not important, they're being replaced next week, while I'm on vacation in SouCal for my cousin's wedding.
ALSO ALSO ALSO, NEW CARPET. HOORAY! :D I am so excited. I've been poking maintenance and the apartment management for about a month about new carpet one way or another (because if not, I need to know so I can shampoo the rugs before I leave, and if so, I need to know so I can clear the place out). K-ex-roommate told me the carpet was old when she moved in, and that was six years ago. As K is, while tidy clutter-wise, NOT the best housekeeper when it comes to things being actually clean, the carpet is nasty and trashed and coming up at the doors and there are dark grayish trails in all the high-traffic areas BUT MAINTENANCE IS REPLACING IT ON THE 28TH. While I am in California.
This means that theater-ex-roommate is coming over tomorrow and we are going to play real-life tetris to get all my bedroom furniture and a couple other assorted odds and ends stuffed into the bathroom, so there's nothing ON the carpet. IT WILL BE AWESOME.
What will be slightly less awesome is that my flight gets back on September 5, and I have to rent a U-haul or borrow a truck (or both) to move more furniture in (couch, anyone?) and move the furniture out of the bathroom September 6, so that in case music-new-roommate wants to, like, PEE on Sunday the 7th, when she says she's moving in, she's able to GET TO the toilet. ^^;; And put things away and such. Then, bright and early September 9th, I get a root canal! Wheeeeeeee. ^^;; It sounds like I will not have to be anywhere that Monday (the 8th), but who knows- I might be unpacking from bathroom-tetris or trying to FINALLY paint my goddamn bedroom at my parents' place. 9_9
DID I MENTION NEW CARPET? I'm so excited. :D
