So I've been hiding from AIM. Those of you with my personal Gmail have found me anyway.
Jason is coming home from AF basic training in about a week. He got pinkeye, sunstroke, a fever, and then bronchitis. Also he pulled his back. Also he found out one leg is shorter than the other. Also AF orthopedists are morons- something about his ribs that my dad has too- they said it'd crush his ribcage if he tried to carry a 140 pound pack. My father, who served a tour of active duty in the Marines and 20 years in the Navy Reserve blinked and said he sure wished someone had told the MARINES that.
Note that my father has never had his ribcage crushed while carrying a 140+ pound pack.
Also I am bead knitting, making a bracelet.
And I made a "Hidden Leaf hitai-ate" hat for two narutard friends of mine who have a baby due November 2. They'll be thrilled beyond reason. Also I made a stuffed kunai, hooded baby towel, and baby afghan. I am thinking about making him (baby Kenji- yes, Kenji, no, they're not Japanese- they're about as white as possible) socks.
...no, the child never stood a chance. I knit, and most of his family crochets.
I CANNOT PLAY SCRABBLE UNTIL I GET THE CHAR APPS GRADED.
Lilly housetiger, cranky-cat, has cancer. She's fine, no, we're not doing chemo. IMO, doing chemo on a housepet is cruel, since all the pet understands is that IT HURTS and THEY'RE SICK.
It's do-or-die week for my bedroom walls, the same walls I've had "in progress" for about a year now.
And George was showing Chester that you can toast marshmallows on two live wires... to a doorbell.
