Cool kids

I went to one of the elementary schools to get the name of a little boy today. It turned into a mission. I was there for about 30 minutes talking to just about every teacher and showing them his picture. Saw this really cute little boy though, a kindergartner. I asked him if he had seen the boy and he said, "I sat next to him! I know him!", but then when I asked him his name he had no idea.

Speaking of super-cute kids, I saw another one when I was at the high school yesterday. He was walking up to the school with his mom and he saw one of those sewer cover things and stopped like it was a hundred feet wide. Then he just stood there, said, "Woah!" and stared in awe at it while his mom was still walking. I could see what he was doing. He was pretending like the sewer cover thing was like a huge moat or fire pit that was impassable. His mom was not playing along though. He stood there for a while, til she was almost at the door, then he said, "Mom?" and finally ran up to her.

I love how kids are so dramatic. It made me happy to see that. Reminded me of when I was little.
