Diwali
So it was Diwali on Friday and I went home and did the whole celebration with my mom and some friends. After all the prep was done, I went swimming in an outdoor pool in LG with a friend. Then when I got back me and mom meditated, sang Hindu hymns and lit nearly 50 candles and then called our friends who were there for the last part of the ceremony.
Only the girls are allowed to hold the platters of homemade candles so my arm was tired since I had 30 on my platter, but my friend helped.
I went out to dinner and then to bed at a decent hour, which was badly needed. Then in the morning I drove up the coast to the city. But I left my wallet on my roof and luckily looked in my purse before getting on 17. I drove back and found it laying in the middle of the road. A car ran over just the change purse part, but everything was in there. What are the odds?
I was tired when I got back but made it to dinner with some people I didn't know and then to Ween. I tried to go to the Richmond after but with the rain and lack of transport out there and the buses not stopping, I ended up just going home - unzipped my boots and watched the water fall out of them.
