Almost at an end...
My vacation time, that is. *sigh* Ah well. It was good while it lasted.
Sooo.... after paying a vet bill that tops anything I've seen in a very long time, I was informed that Ruthie's eye so far is healing well. The eyeball is still inflamed at the front, but she has clear vision from the back of her eye to the sides. We continue the eye drops and Ru stays with the cone of shame for 2-3 weeks more before going back for another follow up. At that time she will also have to have a urine test so we can see how her kidneys and liver are doing after spending the last 3 months on medication for her hip.
I am so tired about worrying about her. I just want her to be healthy. I need her to be healthy. It's stupid and weird and a little bit pathetic, I know, but I can't do.... THIS... without her. This being life in China in general. She keeps me sane. I say this a lot but it's the truth more than even I am capable of expressing. I'm not depressed at all, but part of me - a large part of me - is dependent on her. Knowing she's home, happy, healthy, makes me smile and look forward to each day. For several years, it was only me and her and I came to rely on her as my touchstone when things were wrong but there was no one else to tell, or ask for help.
Anyway, enough is enough. She's mending, and I can stop panicking. ^_^
Jo and L came over yesterday and dragged me, Kat and the chibi to lunch at Papa John's at the Raffles center downtown. Then we took a free tour of the museum until it closed and came back home. L shared with us the wonder that is JB Dubs. Legs. That's all I can say. LEGS! My GOD, how can a man look more fabulous in heels than a woman? I think I'm in love.
We are almost finished season 3 of Merlin. I see chemistry everywhere except between Arthur and Gwen. *sigh* But man, do i love me some Gwaine. :)
