A piccie post!
No mommy, s'too cold an' early to get up!
After grooming! She has an official photo shoot on Saturday - J told me the company photographer would take some shots of her and me so I could have some nice professional quality prints done and blown up - free! :D
Samy almost came to work with me. He loves sleeping in my backpack.
The right side of my desk. My agenda/planning calendar (my LIFEBLOOD) on top of some hastily submitted lesson plans. Also in the pile is a list of G5 teachers, two manuals and my teaching binder for term 2 (blue).
A pile of schedules graces the left side of my desk. I refer to those papers about a dozen times a day to see where a teacher is, who they're teaching (grade) and when. New ones are always being printed and resubmitted because schools are notoriously fickle and like to make my life difficult by changing the schedules while I'm trying to schedule visits.
My MP3 ensures I do not drop dead of boredom when doing paperwork, and the infusion of caffiene via Diet Pepsi ensures I do not kill anyone when they give me more work to do. You can barely see my orange mug which houses the hot chocolate on cold winter mornings. Next to it is the Spider-Bear - a part of my Barista Bear collection from Starbucks. My plush Stitch pencil bag watches me and never actually has pens in it I can use 'cause PEOPLE KEEP TAKING THEM.
The phone lies buried. Most contact is done via cell phones, so when it rings, it scares the hell out of me 'cause I'm not used to it. On the desk corner there, my fingerless gloves perch precariously on top of the local paper I pick up religiously and a game book my mom gave me that I use frequently. The remaining papers are unfiled reports that require reading, note-taking and then filing. >.<;;
This is the wall map of doom. All the green tabbies are schools we have teachers at. It is woefully out of date - we need to add about 10 schools to it. This map does not show the schools in other districts like Qingpu (West), Jinshan (southwest) , Fengxian (south) and Nanhui (southeast). The area to the right of the river is referred to as Pudong. The left is Puxi. Well. It's many districts, but the one I work in is Puxi.
I left the workshop early tonight ( the teacher's running it had it well in hand) and have spent the night throwing up. I blame the lack of proper sleep, stress, and too many things to do (too many things on my mind - can't shut down at night and thus, can't sleep). I am taking tomorrow off because I need to kick this quick - can't miss Saturday's class. I'll be on my deathbed before I let kids deal with a substitute. They are MINE.
