still stranded with a bum foot...

Still in Burgos!
Went again to hospital yesterday and they said that I couldnt walk for a few days. I might try walking tomorrow, but am not sure. I am getting really antsy, my feet don´t like staying still even if they hurt like hell. I miss my friends and am tempted to catch a bus to catch up with them.

Oh, so funny things that have happened-
first was maybe a week ago but I still dont quite believe it. I saw a puma! as in a big freakin giant cat! I was walking through some small town and there was a random medieval festival market thing going on which was great, and then a man dressed in medieval garb and a big puma on a leash. it seemed quite friendly. i thought it was a big dog, but no... a freakin´puma.

second happened yesterday. i was sitting up here in the albergue and these 2 guys from Georgia (the country) showed up with a video camera and they are making a documentary about the camino to put on Georgian television. I was the only person who could speak english so they interviewed me! I will be on television in central asia! haha, crazy.

This morning a french woman who only speaks french (and i only know 3 sentences that are not very useful) tried to do some sort of energy healing thing on my foot. how nice people ar ehere.

i miss my spanish, german, and slovakian friends! I really want to catch up with them. I dont know what to do because the camino is more fun with them. And I think fun is important. Oh, I dont know I dont know, decisions decisions.

And now I go with the hospitalero Juan to the hospital again to have my bandages changed! I hope I grow new skin soon. Because now I don´t have much of it on my foot. Ah, is part of the camino. At least I have a place to stay while I heal (for free, too!) and in a place with a doctors. 90% of the time am in tiny villages that might not even have a bar so I am quite lucky. Anyways. I miss everyone. Ive written lots of postcards but now need to find stamps! Since I am for the first time ever really writing postcards, send on your address for a card from me.
Love, Annie
