Friday, I made some serious efforts to figure out what I'm going to do for Thanksgiving. I think I may take the whole week after Thanksgiving off and spend it in Spain. I'm thinking of flying to Barcelona on the November 23, staying there for a few days, then flying to Madrid for a few days, then back to Barcelona for one night, then home on December 3. This would leave me just one vacation day to take at Christmas, but I don't really need more than that.
Alternatively, I may leave the Friday night before Thanksgiving and come back on Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving. This would cut my trip two days short, but would leave me two extra days at Christmas. Another advantage is that I would avoid flying on the heaviest travel day of the year.
So, I still have to make some decisions, and soon.
PY has already approved my choice of hotel in Barcelona, and he says that he will send me some ideas of things to do soon. He just got back from Beijing yesterday, so he has three weeks worth of stuff to catch up on at home.
Saturday, I went to a baby shower for Becky Larue. She got tons of stuff, but I was glad to see that the basket of stuff I gave her was somewhat unique. After she opened all the gifts, I left. Lots of people were still there, but I needed to run a couple of errands before settling down to homework.
Today, I had a conference call with my technology class group. We started brainstorming for our project that we think is due on October 18. Now, I have to get busy reading for this week's class -- 450 more pages, including the 200 that I didn't get done with last week.
