Ok...Spring Break was wonderful! Let's just get that little memo out of the way. My break started last Friday like everyone elses, but I decided to stick around for an extra day so that I could clean up a bit and pack, and get a bit of reading in.
I planned on leaving Saturday morning sometime though, because I wanted to see my family and James, and I also felt that I should help my mom out a bit with all of the housework that has been building up since Cindy broke her hip. (She's doing great now, by the way.) So, Friday night I packed up all my crap and fell asleep reading my psychology stuff. I woke up at 2 a.m. though, and I couldn't go back to sleep, fortunately my night owl of a boyfriend was up and I talked to him for a while. He evidently had had a rough night at work and was upset at one of his co-workers. He eventually asked me if I would come over, and since I was having a bit of insomnia I agreed. It really worked out good though, because by the time I got to his place I was exhausted and I fell right to sleep.
I spent most of Saturday with my mom, brother, and Cindy. We ran around and did errands and then I stayed with James that night. I was so happy when he asked me to go with him to get a phone in Trussville. I really worry about him driving for Dominoes without means of communication. Also, it's nice that now we can call each other for free!
Fairly uneventful, I know, but it was just what I needed.
Sunday I got up early and went to church with my mother. She was really pleased. She thinks that I don't go to church at all anymore, which truly isn't the case. Truth is that I don't really like the Churches of Christ around here. They are a bit to liberal for me.
Anyways, later that night James and I had a date at the Coin Laundry place in Odenville. I told him that it would be really nice if he would wash his (nasty) clothes before we went on our trip to Atlanta on Monday. He agreed and we both washed clothes, and went next door to the Mexican restaurant. It wasn't that great, but the company was nice!
Then we went back home and I read about 30 or 40 pages, while he played World of Warcraft. It was kinda weird, but it really felt like we lived together. I really felt like I was at home, and we had both settled into our nightly routine. Kinda nice.
On Monday, I went over to my mom's house and took a shower and talked to the fam. for a bit, before James and I headed off for the ATL. I was a little late getting back to James' house, because my mom was really nice and made us a sweet little snack. (I love her!)
The drive to Atlanta was nice. I drove my car and James, of course, slept most of the way. (I don't think that I ever driven on the interstate without him passing out!) We got a little lost when we were trying to find the bed n' breakfast, though, and the search was made no easier with my blatter on board! I've been only drinking water, lately so this cause a bit of a rush to things. We finally stopped off at a gas station, before back-tracking. We finally found it, but the street sign was a bit hidden.
To make matters even more comical the inn-keeper of the Maison Lavigne wasn't there, and had no recollection of our reservation! She made iot up to us, however, by serving us a healthy platter of fruit, cheese, bread, and wine. (I felt of age! She didn't even ask! Yay!) I loved the fruit and wine, but the cheese was kinda funky. James nearly nearly lost it when he tasted a cheese that I guessed to be limbuhrger. The face he made was unforgetable!
Later, we decided to venture into the city. James had never been to Undergound Atlanta, and it had been a while for me too, so we walked around for awhile. It was a lot of fun. I took a few pictures, and we even went to psychics. My psychic told me that I had had a lot of family drama, but that it had finally died down. Also he said that I would get everything that I wanted and dreamed about in 2007, which pleased me. James' psychic, on the other hand told him to stick with me, and that he would be really rich someday. Yay!
From there, we went to an Irish Pub and got a bite to eat. The food was good, but the place smelled just like fish and vinegar! Eventually we both got used to the smell, but we almost left because of it.
Then we both decided to go back to the Inn, and yet again we got lost, and yet again I had to pee. And the fact that it started to pour down rain didn't help either case. We were very relieved to finally get to the Inn. We both took long baths in the cool clawed-foot tub, and went to bed.
The next morning we both awoke to the little excentric Inn-keeper awaking us to breakfast. It was pretty good, but neither one of us were really hungry. I ate some fruit and drank some orange juice, and James drank some very stout coffee and a roll. We packed everything up, settled up the bill, and went back into town for a bit.
James had never rode on the subway, so we bought a fare and took a short trip. We then went to the Coca-cola Museum. It was a lot of fun, but James learned that he didn't like Italian Coke! Then we made a quick stop at Johnny Rockets and got some lunch, before leaving Atlanta.
On the way home we picked up a 40 ( a really big beer, that isn't sold in Alabama) and a lottery ticket. We talked about what we would buy with our $68 million all the way home!
That night I spent some time with my family, and went and saw my friend Rebecca and her baby. I took a ton of pictures and got some good baby time with my "nephew." I'm really glad that things are finally working out for Rebecca, though, she's had a rough time.
Wednesday I stayed with James until about 12 or so, and then I went and had luch with my mom, Cameron, and Cindy. I showed them all of my pictures, and we had a nice time. Later, I jumped Cameron's car off and we took it to Advanced Autoparts and got a new battery, and wipers. Cameron was excited, because now he can actually drive!
When my mom got back home, Cameron and I helped her get Cindy back to the couch, and put the groceries away. Then Momma and I decided to go back into town, and pick up my phone and look around the mall. It was nice to just talk to her for a while.
Thursday, I left James' house and got a shower. I ran by Subway and got us both some food, and then I met up with my mom and Cameron in Trussville and did some errands before I came back here to T-town.
So that's that, I guess. All that I have planned for today is to read a book or two, and enjoy some time to myself!
