Well, I emailed the headhunter at K-Force yesterday to see if she'd had any feedback from DaimlerChrysler regarding the interview I had there on Tuesday. I received an email reply this morning and was *not* prepared for what it told me.
(1) My financial analysis skills are weak.
(2) I would require extensive training in order to grasp the basics of the position.
(3) I'm useless.
Man, between undergrad and grad school, I've spent 6+ years in college now. I've got my Bachelor's Degree (majored in Corporate Finance) and I'm working on my MBA (4.0 average right now). I have worked in credit and collections for over four years and I built an Excel-based tool that allows for a year-by-year-by-year comparison (and it automatically converts from foreign currencies to U$). And here I thought I knew something about financial analysis.
There's a slight chance that I exaggerated that third point, but it is very indicative of what I felt immediately after reading the email from the headhunter.
Fuck 'em all.
