I assume you have all heard of Paranormal Activity by now. The "scariest movie ever"! James has been talking about seeing this movie for months and, finally, it came to our area this past weekend so we went to see it. Let me start by saying I had absolutely no interest in seeing this movie. After the letdown that was The Blair Witch Project ten years ago, I knew that Paranormal Activity wouldn't scare me and that I'd find mildly entertaining at best. But, lacking anything else to do on a Saturday afternoon and convincing myself that there might be the slightest of possiblities that I was wrong, I went. Turns out I was right.
To anyone that was legitimately scared by this movie, you obviously have some severe mental issues that make it impossible to distinguish a fictional movie from reality. Let me break this down for you - GHOSTS AREN'T REAL! This is a movie, it did not really happen! It's not going to happen. Just because something is filmed in a documentary style doesn't mean it's a factual account!
James, who enjoyed it, thinks that I just don't get it. Maybe he's right and I'm the one with the problem. However, I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who thought this movie was lame. My advice, save your money and wait for the DVD if you must see it...or spend your money on a copy of Drag Me to Hell which was an awesome movie that I recommend to all.
