I would imagine if you liked guacamole a layer of that would go well too.

yesss like Trader Joe's 5-layer (I think) dip except that has like not even 10% of the necessary cheese.

I found a recipe that used cream cheese in place of mayo, so I might try that today. I really want some taco dip!

YESSSS, I make this only minus the mayo and add guacamole and it is perfect. If I'm feeling classy I might sprinkle some green onions or sliced black olives on top with the cheese.

I make something similar, but I use bean dip as the bottom layer...it's tasty, and everyone loves it. Sometimes I vary the layers, but the bottom two are always the same - frito lay bean dip, and the mayo/sour cream taco seasoning mix.
